The Centre
The CF service is led by Rebecca Thomas, supported by Tracey Daniels (York) and Tanya Cavany (Hull) in the roles of Non-medical Clinical Leads. The specialist physiotherapists are Kath France, Katy Lee, Nicola Robson (currently on maternity leave) and Jamie Watkins covering both York and Hull.
Our clinical nurse specialists are Julie Ackerley and Jess Grierson(York); Melanie Robinson and Debbie Ingram (Hull). Our CF dietitian Joanna Donaldson-Smith (Hull).
The clinical psychologist for CF is Emily Young (York) and Rochelle Crawford (Hull). The sister for Ward 34 (York) is Emma Shaw. We also have a team of other clinicians at York and Hull who we work closely with to deal with non-respiratory problems that can happen in people with CF.
Clinical and Administrative support and service improvement activities for the CF Centre are provided by Shane Hammond, Clinical Assistant (Hull), Sonia Sharpe, CF Administrator (Hull), Sandra Martin, Medical Secretary to Dr Thomas and Dr Rashid, and Gillian Farnsworth, CF MDT Co-ordinator (York).

York CF Centre
The York Adult CF centre is based on the 1st Floor above Emergency Department (ED) at York Hospital. Facilities include 2 well equipped clinic rooms and large floor space which is being used as office and virtual clinic spaces.
We have 2 free parking spaces available for people with CF. On the York hospital grounds operates ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), please let us know you car registration details so we can validate it with Car Parking team.
There are few disabled parking spaces at the front of the building if you wish to use them and have valid Blue Badge.
Access to the centre is through a secure entry system and is located on the first floor, accessible via a flight of stairs. If you require wheelchair access, please contact us using the number below when you arrive in the car park. A member of the team will meet you at the ED entrance with a wheelchair and escort you to the centre using the lift within ED.
If you are unwell and require hospital admission our CF team will arrange hospital bed for you and advise when you should arrive at York Hospital, normally it is Ward 34 that you will be staying at, with dedicated ensuite rooms.

Hull CF Centre
The Hull Adult CF centre is located on the first floor of the Pre-Assessment Building, a short walk from the first car park, located at Entrance 2. Disabled parking is available next to the building on both the left and right side.
Facilities include 9 well equipped clinic rooms which can be used for clinical treatment, video appointments or 1-1 consultations. There is a lift just inside the main entrance of the building (we are on the first floor).
On arrival you will be greeted by one of our reception team, tea and coffee are available free of charge upon request, but are usually offered as you arrive!
If you are unwell and require hospital admission, this can be arranged by the department, giving you time to pick up some essentials from home before arriving at our dedicated CF ward at our other hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary, located in the City Centre.
