  • MORRISONS has created a new dedicated telesales shopping service to help vulnerable and elderly people get the groceries they need - for further information click here

  • NHS Volunteer Responders has been set up to support the NHS and the care sector during the COVID-19 outbreak.   An “army” of hundreds of thousands of volunteers has stepped up to support vulnerable people in England who are at most risk from the virus. These volunteers are matched via the GoodSAM app with members of their community who need support to stay well at home’ . The help on offer ranges from support with grocery shopping and collecting prescriptions to ‘check in and chat’ phone calls.  The volunteers will also help the NHS with patient transport and transport of medical equipment and supplies.  Here is the link to the NHS Volunteers portal

Right now across the UK, there are around 6,500 people in need of an organ transplant, including around 150 children and teenagers. On average three people die every day in need of an organ transplant because there just aren’t enough organ donors.

We are always amazed and extremely grateful when people go out of their way to raise money for cystic fibrosis services. Some people are motivated by a family member or friend living with CF, and some people have heard about the disease in the press and offer to help.
