About us

Welcome to the York Hull Adult Cystic Fibrosis Specialist Centre website

Our website is designed to give you up-to-date information about Cystic Fibrosis and the York Hull Adult Cystic Fibrosis service.  We aim to keep you posted about new developments and changes that we're making to the services available in the York, Hull and Scarborough areas.

You can use the website to find out about our service, who we are, how to find us, and what to expect in clinic or as an inpatient. There is information about medical care, physiotherapy for people with CF, nursing, dietetic, pharmacology and psychology care. There are information leaflets and our CF unit newsletters for you to download and links to other useful sites. We want to continually improve and give you the best service we can. To do this we need to know what you think, please contact the Cystic Fibrosis team.

If you would like to know more about the York Hull Adult CF Specialist Service, or are thinking about having your CF care at our specialist centre, visit the contact page for details about how to contact us to ask questions and/or to arrange a visit to meet us.

You can click on any picture on the photo roll for information about who/what they show.

Right now across the UK, there are around 6,500 people in need of an organ transplant, including around 150 children and teenagers. On average three people die every day in need of an organ transplant because there just aren’t enough organ donors.

We are always amazed and extremely grateful when people go out of their way to raise money for cystic fibrosis services. Some people are motivated by a family member or friend living with CF, and some people have heard about the disease in the press and offer to help.
